Lean on Me

So I drew this comic in like January for a scholarship contest but I've been too embarrassed to post it.
It won second place though and will be shown to people against my will anyway so I'm...just gonna post it now xD

Like always guys critique is encouraged.
I am aware of most of my obvious artistic errors but I've never made a comic before so if you've got any tips on that and about how to make my awkward cheesy writing a little less..awkward and cheesy that'd be greatly appreciated.
